Two valleys, one connecting road

Ziro and Mechuka do not sit on the Tawang highway. This week treats them as their own eastern-central circuit from Dibrugarh: two nights in the Apatani bowl, a transfer night in Aalo each way, and two nights in Mechuka so the valley is not a single exhausted evening.

Aalo days are transfer days on purpose. Do not load them with sightseeing. Mechuka sightseeing flexes with road conditions and what you actually want to walk.

Day 01

Dibrugarh to Ziro Valley

Pickup from Dibrugarh Airport / Railway Station.
Drive toward Ziro Valley.
Arrive, check in and rest. Overnight in Ziro.

Day 02

Ziro Valley sightseeing

Overnight · Ziro

Apatani villages and traditional houses.
Paddy fields, pine rims and local viewpoints.
Village walks at an easy pace — not a tick-list day.
Overnight in Ziro.

Day 03

Ziro to Aalo

Overnight · Aalo

After breakfast, a major transfer day toward Aalo.
Changing valleys and rivers on the road.
Arrive Aalo and rest. No packed sightseeing on this day.

Day 04

Aalo to Mechuka

Overnight · Mechuka

After breakfast, drive toward Mechuka.
The road itself is part of the journey — remote valleys and river folds.
Check into the hotel or homestay. Evening at leisure.

Day 05

Mechuka local sightseeing

Overnight · Mechuka

Mechuka Valley and the Siom (Yargyap Chu) river.
Traditional villages and Buddhist monasteries.
Viewpoints and riverside stretches.
Stops flex with road conditions and interest.

Day 06

Mechuka to Aalo

Overnight · Aalo

After a relaxed breakfast, begin the return to Aalo.
Arrive and rest. Overnight in Aalo.

Day 07

Aalo to Dibrugarh

Transfer · Dibrugarh Airport / Railway Station

After breakfast, check out from Aalo.
Drop at Dibrugarh Airport / Railway Station.
