Ladakh Tour Cost

There is no single price — days, hotels, the cab and whether you fly all move the figure

How much does a Ladakh trip cost?

The answer follows the week you actually book — not a headline on a card.

Days, month, hotel band, how many people share the vehicle, fly versus road, and how many valleys you add all change the total. The large lines are stay, transport, meals, sightseeing, getting to Leh, permits, activities and personal spend. Ladakh can still be planned on more than one budget.

Starting land-package ranges

Type of tripApprox. per person*
Budget₹25,000 – ₹35,000
Comfortable₹35,000 – ₹50,000
Premium₹50,000 – ₹75,000+
Luxury₹75,000+

*Indicative land packages. Flights are usually extra. Dates, hotels, vehicle and itinerary move the number.

What a package usually includes

Stay, breakfast, dinner on many plans, airport transfers, a private or shared cab, listed sightseeing, driver, fuel and intercity running. Compare inclusions before you compare two prices. The cheaper card may simply omit dinner, a night or the vehicle type.

The cab is a large line because Leh → Nubra → Pangong → Leh is several mountain days. Two people split that cost two ways. Four people split it four ways. That is why a group of four often looks cheaper per head than a couple in the same car.

Airfare into Leh should be counted separately unless the quote says it is inside. Lunch is often left out because you are on the road. Camel rides, entry fees and heaters are commonly extra.

Cost by duration

  • About ₹20,000 – ₹30,000 per person land

  • The usual first Leh–Nubra–Pangong loop

7 nights / 8 days

  • About ₹35,000 – ₹50,000 per person
  • Less compressed; room for Sham or Turtuk

8 nights / 9 days

  • About ₹40,000 – ₹60,000 per person

A couple planning figure

LineApprox. for two
Land package₹60,000 – ₹90,000
Flights₹20,000 – ₹40,000+
Lunch and snacks₹5,000 – ₹8,000
Activities / entries₹2,000 – ₹5,000
Shopping and personal₹5,000 – ₹10,000
Rough total₹92,000 – ₹1,53,000+

Planning figures only. Airfare and hotels move more than any other line.

How to keep the week in budget

  • Travel as a group so the cab is shared
  • Use mid-range hotels if you are out all day
  • Prefer May or September over the busiest July weeks
  • Book flights early
  • Choose days that fit the circuit — extra nights are not always extra waste

Ladakh costs more than a short hill-station week because the roads are long. It does not have to be a luxury week. A well-planned 6–8 day trip with a shared or small-group cab, comfortable rooms and early flights is the usual balance.

A useful starting budget

For a comfortable first holiday, begin around ₹40,000–₹50,000 per person land, then add flights and personal spend. A couple can treat about ₹1 lakh as a working floor, depending on city, dates and hotels.
