Shergaon

A pine village off the main Tawang rush

Quieter than the highway towns

Shergaon sits in West Kameng away from the Bomdila–Dirang trunk that most Tawang itineraries never leave. Pine slopes, orchard patches and Sherdukpen village life set the pace. It is not a checklist stop. It works when you have extra days and want a night that is not another hotel on the highway.

Reach it as a side valley from the western circuit, not as a rushed afternoon. One or two nights are enough. Combine it with Bomdila or Dirang rather than forcing it into a Tawang-only week.
