Five village and town nights east of Darjeeling

This week stays off Mall Road. Night one is Kaffergaon after Panbu Dara. Night two is Rishop, with Lava Monastery, Lolegaon Eco Park and the pine forest. Kalimpong is the mid-week town night. Dawaipani covers Lamahatta, Takdah and Tinchuley. The last night is Sittong before the NJP drop.

Meals include breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening snacks on most nights. Entry tickets, rides and syndicate charges are extra.

NJP to Kaffergaon

  • Visit Panbu Dara.

Day 02

Kaffergaon to Rishop

  • After breakfast, check out and drive to Rishop.
  • Lava Monastery, Lolegaon Eco Park, the Buddha statue and Rishop pine-forest walks.

Day 03

Rishop to Kalimpong

  • After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kalimpong.
  • Kalimpong sightseeing: Deolo Park, Science City Park, Hanuman Tok and the Buddha statue.
  • Lunch, evening snacks and dinner in Kalimpong.

Kalimpong to Dawaipani

Dawaipani to Sittong

Sittong to NJP

Transfer · NJP

  • After breakfast, check out from Sittong.
  • Drop at NJP for the onward journey.
