Village nights first, then the classic town day

Four nights for a first Darjeeling week that does not start on Mall Road. Night one is a Sittong homestay. Night two is Takdah. Two hotel nights in Darjeeling cover Tiger Hill, Batasia Loop, Ghoom, the zoo and a tea garden. Mirik and Lepchajagat sit on the way out.

Pickup and drop are at NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri. Accommodation is two homestay nights and two hotel nights. Ropeway tickets, rides and Darjeeling syndicate charges are extra.

Day 01

NJP / Siliguri to Sittong

Overnight · Sittong

  • Pickup from NJP, Bagdogra or Siliguri and transfer to Sittong.
  • Check in to the homestay.
  • Lunch and dinner at Sittong.
Day 02

Sittong to Takdah

Overnight · Takdah

  • After breakfast, check out and see Sittong: Ahaldara View Point, Jogighat Bridge, Namthing Pokhri and Latpanchar Monastery.
  • Transfer to Takdah and check in.
  • Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 03

Takdah to Darjeeling

Overnight · Darjeeling

  • After breakfast, check out from Takdah.
  • Lamahatta Eco Park, Gumbadara View Point, Lovers’ Meet Point and Peshok Tea Garden, with Tinchuley on the same loop.
  • Transfer to Darjeeling and check in to the hotel.
Day 04

Darjeeling local sightseeing

Overnight · Darjeeling

  • Tiger Hill for sunrise when weather allows.
  • Batasia Loop, Ghoom Monastery, Peace Pagoda and the Japanese Temple.
  • Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, the ropeway (tickets extra) and Lebong Tea Garden.
Day 05

Darjeeling to NJP via Mirik

Transfer · NJP / Siliguri

  • After breakfast, check out from the hotel.
  • En route: Lepchajagat, the Nepal border stretch, Pashupati Market, Mirik Lake, Mirik Tea Garden, Gopal Dhara Tea Estate and Simana View Point.
  • Drop at NJP or Siliguri.
