Mussoorie

A ridge town above the Doon — walkable evenings, sharper views after the rains

Two nights if you want Landour as well as the Mall

Mussoorie sits on a long ridge above Dehradun, looking north toward snow and south into the Doon. The Mall is the evening the town is known for. Landour, a little higher, is quieter — Lal Tibba, old cantonment lanes, and the original reason many people extend the stay.

Kempty Falls and Camel’s Back work as half-days from a single hotel. Weekend May crowds are real. October and November give clearer ridges with fewer rooms filled.
