Mawlynnong

A kept Khasi village on the way to Dawki — paths, bamboo and a short skywalk

An hour in the lanes, then the river or the drive back

Mawlynnong is a small Khasi village known for how it is kept — swept paths, bamboo, a living-root walk nearby and a bamboo skywalk over the canopy. It is not a resort town. Most weeks pair it with Dawki on one eastward day from Shillong or Sohra.

Respect village hours and local rules; some weeks restrict Sunday crowding. The skywalk is extra and not for anyone who dislikes heights.
