Mawsmai Cave

A short, lit limestone passage near Sohra — the cave most first weeks can actually walk

Twenty minutes underground, then back to the cliff road

Mawsmai is the show cave on the Sohra circuit: a lit, ticketed stretch of limestone, low in places, wet underfoot. It is not a technical cave. It is also not the only cave in these hills — it is the one we put on a first-timer morning.

Wear shoes that can take mud. Avoid after very heavy rain if the passage is restricted. Combine with Nohkalikai, not as a separate day.
